I am sure we all agree CC needs to lose the weight. But as i said in another threat I don´t know if the Yanks are allowed to demand he keeps a certain weight.  I read today his weight is 290, well make him lose 75. He needs a training regiment. Another fat a..............sss is Fielder, but he is not a pitcher. We will find out soon enough if CC will opt out.

I weigh in at about 330 and CC has the same upper body shape as me, except his legs are about twice as big, and he's 7 inches taller.  Tell me again how he weighs 290.  I'd be shocked if weighs less than 370.

All that aside, CC was cruising for the season until that 2 rain delay game where he was going for a no hitter/perfect? game. Check his stats before and after. Something's wrong that ain't right.  Hopefully whatever the problem was, and I'm sure it's a physical one, will disappear over the off season and CC will return to top form.

Fact.He is grossly over weight. If he opt out just let him walk.

Or just put him in a wheelbarrow...get two guys that are in good shape to put him on a California bound plane.

You do realize Cashman wanted to let A-Rod walk in 07 but was overruled right? While Cashman has made some gaffes (as all GMS have) the fact remains they have bosses that can and have overruled them.

As far as I know, Cashman got overruled a few times. It happens to every team in the sport except in a big market, you actually read it in print in every newspaper there is out there. I'm only going to point out two but I'm sure there are more. Like Not wanting to bring A-Rod back for that money or signing Soriano. I heard that Cashman wanted Vlad over Sheffield from a few people but got overruled too. So it happens.

For some reason I keep reading or hearing people say we're going to have to leave the DH spot open for A-Rod in the years to come.. Did anyone see how the guy played defense in this series ??  Right now even, his glove is better then his bat and that will continue to be the same.. A-Rod will be playing 3rd base longer then he will be able to catch up with a 90 plus mph fastball.. Third base probably requires less range then any infield position on the field so don't be looking for A-Rod to be DHing instead of playing 3rd any time soon..

A-Rod and Jeter both have a few good years left before they need to think about a new position as far as defense goes. Tex will probably be good for another 5 years if healthy. One thing I feel strongly about and that's Nunez cannot play the infield. Yanks need a good defensive infielder that handles at least two of the three infield spots. I saw Eric Chavez might retire so they need someone that can play there to fill in when A-Rod, Jeter and Tex need days off and/or get injured.

Hope they get your contract straightened away quickly Cashman ... not so you can read the message board ... but so that you can do what you have been doing pretty darn well for a long time now ... handling the management of the Yankees.

Not that I'm a great fan of Cashman, but I hope they sign him again beause he knows the ins-and-outs of this organization like fews others and I think another GM, unless it's someone right under him, like Oppenheim, who knows the management well.

Ask Brian what happened with Kennedy?Wink.....oops!

Ask Brian why Phil Hughes has never developed into the greatest thing since sliced bread?

Ask him if when he was "playing" the Red Sox on Crawford he consulted with Carl Pavano to see if Carl had any thoughts on it?

Ask Brian why it is that with by far the highest payroll in baseball the Yankees have made the play-offs 10 of the last 11 years and won one World Championship?

Ask Brian if he is proud of that record? 1 for 10............that's 10%.

Well maybe when Brian is buying (or trying to buy) his championships, he's not shopping in the right stores.
