Rangers will win in 7 games. I just think both offenses are hot (may cool off during the days off) but I see them fighting until the end. I still thought the Brewers were a dark horse although they really do need to sure up that defense. That was just brutal. I thought the Rangers had a good shot at the World Series ... They have been playing good baseball, have a very good offense and their bullpen is pretty darn good too. Their starting pitching has faltered a bit but for the most part I did expect the Rangers to be in the thick of things.

This season has been so wacky. It seems everything predicted didn't occur. Since it makes rational sense to pick Rangers, I'll pick the opposite ...Cardinals in 7.
Right.... Cards are the underdogs. So were the Giants last year.
You can't predict baseball Suzyn, you just can't!
It's become much harder to predict with expanded playoffs, which are a joke IMO.
A joke? Doesn't baseball have the least amount of teams in all sports in the play-offs? It's not like it's the NBA where you can play below .500 and still make it in there. I think 8 teams is enough and I hate the idea of them adding another WC team so the two face off to see who makes it in. I think play-off baseball is near perfect, I feel they should change the first round to 7 games. Don't understand why that has to be a short series.
This is true, I really don't want them adding anymore WC teams. It's going to make the season longer than it should be. Of course it's good for the last remaining WC teams to get in and for their fanbase but I don't want it changed. It's going to drag out and turn people off.

Who predicted these teams in the World Series?
I predicted St Loius to win their dividion but NO WAY JOSE to both these teams (any really) making it to the WS! Two consecutive years with Cindarella teams making it to the classic!

So, I have a question. Out of these two teams, which one has a realistic chance of making it back to the Postseason next season? I'm going to say the Rangers ... The Cardinals will be fighting just to get into the postseason once again and I don't think luck will be on their side. But that could also change if Pujols and/or Fielder switch teams.

I'd say the Rangers will make it to the post season..but i think the way they got there this year is not likely to happen again. It worked this year but more often then not, a team who's starters give up two runs or more and can't make it past the third or fourth inning aren't going to make it far.

True, their starting pitching has been terrible and if the Tigers starters weren't as bad and got hitters out, Rangers would've been in serious trouble in the playoffs.

Other than game 6,the starters really weren't that bad. But like with the Yanks, the Detroit offense simply blew too many RISP chances especially in games 2 and 4,to the point where it was simply going to be a matter of which Detroit pitcher would be the unlucky one.

Nice going as Cardinals are leading 8-3. Anyone still think Cardinals are going away easily? Lets hope this time Cardinals can maintain the lead for a win tonight.

No stellar pitching tonight on both sides. Pujols with a 3 run homer 6th inning ...Cardinals leads 11-6.

Pujols is 3-4 w/ a 3 run HR. Apparently he hasn't lost any sleep over the media taking shots at him for not speaking the other night...
