16-7 world series scores = lucky teams got there. I don't think the '96-'01 Yankee team had ONE easy win in the World Series. That's what made that run even more amazing: they didn't have a dominant anything except closer.  Maybe Game 2 1998 series but that was even close until the middle of the game.

These numbers look more like football scores rather baseball.  With bad pitching...tonight's game is far from entertaining.

It was much less entertaining. It was quite boring after the Cards made it 11-6.

A poorly pitched game is not the type of game that keeps you engaged and definitely far from riveting. Count them 11 runs from Rangers' bullpen! After a while it gets kind of boring.  Larry Bowa says it best in regards to Pujols' contributions....

Bowa on Pujols: W/no disrespect to the , he looked like he was playing with a bunch of young kids who didn’t know how to get him out

If and when the Cardinals win this World Series, they will do so having fewer wins in the regular season and postseason combined than the Phillies had in the regular season alone. To say they were the best team this year...they might win it all but it proves what a joke the wild card is.

And yet they want to add another wild card to the mix...won't that be great when the team that just got in on the 2nd wildcard ...wins it all Undecided.

After two low-scoring games, both teams opened up and the best hitter in the major leagues hit three home runs. Three home runs in a World Series game.

And that's why the game wasn't entertaining?

For me a well pitched game where the score is tight going down the wire, where the winner is not determined until the last inning is riveting and utmost entertaining.  A tremendous lead with poor pitching is not my idea of riveting where you can expect pitchers to give it up at will.  A Rangers bullpen giving up 11 runs is not defined as a well pitched game.

If Pujols was facing Verlander going on 7 or more  counts fouling one ball after another and finally winning out with a homer is exhilarating.  As with less than stellar pitching, I could almost see it coming as Pujols delivers those bomb out of the ball park.  The entertainment factor is less than exciting when the element of surprise was not there and the results quite predictable.

If you are a Cards fan, you would find it more than entertaining.  I can't speak for anyone else, at least for me as a baseball fan with our Yankees done for the season....not so much in the way entertaining. Nothing beats a well pitched tight game where the results can go topsy turvy on a dime.

Not to dismiss Pujols' ability, he did great things executing those pitches for homers. It's just that I could see it coming....

As with tonight I can see an offensive games with many runs. Holland has allowed ten runs on 18 hits, six walks, and five  homers in 13.2 IP in three starts this postseason. His opponent Jackson, is not any better with eight runs on 16 hits and four  homers in 12.1 IP in three starts.

Let the runs keep coming.  Perhaps Pujols et al will deliver a few bombs tonight with Rangers offensive bats doing just the same.

He's not a Yankee so no, it wasn't very exciting. I was actually disappointed that he tied the Babe and Reggie.
