No stellar pitching tonight on both sides. Pujols with a 3 run homer 6th inning  ...Cardinals leads 11-6.

Pujols's a BEAST!

If and when the Cardinals win this World Series, they will do so having fewer wins in the regular season and postseason combined than the Phillies had in the regular season alone. To say they were the best team this year...they might win it all but it proves what a joke the wild card is.

But that type of stuff happened even before the wild card - when they had just two divisions. As I recall, the '73 Mets and '87 Twins had way fewer wins than the team they defeated (Reds, Tigers).

Of course, with the wild card, that team won't even have the most wins in its own division....

There are enough players on both teams for me not to root for either one.

I'm pulling 100% for Texas....mainly for Nolan Ryan, one of my all time favorites. That game pitched by the kid Holland the other night was awesome...loved his style. Fun game to watch.

Yikes...As our Yankees are done and I might slightly favor one team over another.  For me, an all time favorite will always be donning the pinstripes.

I enjoyed that game immensely ... I'm rooting for Texas myself, but just found out that a relative that lives by the Cardinals is a big baseball fan and loves her Cardinals ... so now my emotions are a little split.
