Per Jon Heyman the Detroit Tigers have agreed to sign Prince Fielder to a 9 year deal worth more than $200 Mil.

Well, it appears Scott Swaim was wrong when he said Fielder was signing with Nats....well, Atleast Swaim can claim he was indeed right about the Pujols signing.

Deal is for $214 Mil over 9 years which comes out to nearly $24 Mil per year.

Interesting. This year I guess they can DH Cabrera, but once Victor comes back? Victor is signed thru '14, and Cabrera thru '15. Move Cabrera to OF or 3b? Giving up defense no matter what.

Looky here, the Tigers have just brought themselves a pennant and WS. Guess it is only wrong when those damned Yankees do it ,' If I am V Mart , I am one unhappy camper now. That means his days as a Tigers are OVER , unless Miggy agrees to go back to his orginal 3rd base position and Prince is the First baseman or if they think V Mart can still catch 120 games when he comes back. This falls under the catergory of what the H ell ? Is the owner and GM thinking?
