ya' know...let me tell you something...I truly don't know how you always manage to do it...and yet you always do...this is probably the most fitting tribute anyone could possibly create..so plain, so simple, sooo-o Mariano Rivera...you did a remarkable job, bhjoe...my only wish would be he gets a chance to see it...

"...let it be known that as of this date in Major League Baseball history the one, truly honest single season home run record...61 in '61..."

That would be a real honor, if Mariano got to see this. I'm sure many here could do a far better job than I did, but as I wrote, its a small show of gratitude.

This should make all us Mo fans a LITTLE happier about this being his last year. He says the door is open.

Oh Gawd.... We need Baseball! I just want to watch him pitch this year.... I'll worry about next season when the time comes.

Lola, one of my favorite scripture references sums up my agreement with your sentiments above.

Despite his uncharacteristic outing to start the season, he's worthy of posting this video again.

Absolutely BHJ.... I take it one day at a time.... one game at a time.

For all those who has not picked up a Rivera Jersey, it's time to get it now.  Did any of you heard Zimmer asking Mo about his play time and he responded...5 more years. I guess if Moyer can pitch into his 50s, Mo can pitch another year or two without concerns.  It just remains to be seen if the pull is strong enough for him to hang it up.

Always proud to be a Yankee fan.

I'm thinking Mo may have just been joking around with Zim. Hes in such good shape he probably could go another 5 years, but I think he may want to move on.  I dont see Mo hanging on if he is not at the top of his game.
