more and more. 3 RBI tonight and 11 for ST.  He's out of options so some team will grab him if he's sent down. Problem is no room on the roster, who would go?

If it was up to me..it would be Joba.

Justin Maxwell is A-Rod Lite (same batting stance), except for the fact he K's a gazillion times.

Joba is on the DL so he doesn't take a roster spot. The decision will have to come pretty quick and right now it could be Ibanez.

Well not a gazillion but his AB>K ratio is not good. I still think he has more upside than Ibanez.

I like Maxwell too.  His downside was always too many K's, but he looks like he's going for more contact than power this spring and its paying off in a better average and less K's.  I have to wonder if that was part of his plan, or he didn't have much of a choice because of the bad shoulder injury he had last year.  Either way, he looks pretty good.  I wish there was a spot for him.

I can't imagine Maxwell would be worse than Ibanez. Plus, if Maxwell doesn't work out they won't have lost much by dumping Ibanez.

That's true.  He actually brings a lot more to the game with his defense and speed.  But Ibanez has started to hit and he's a lefty.  They'll probably try to deal Maxwell this week since he's out of options.

Ibanez ain't going anywhere. He's shown just enough for them to keep him. IMO, he'll end up having a season much like Posada last year. He'll hit a few out, but overall he'll be a hole in the lineup. He'll likely only play OF here and there, and will ride the bench most of the time.

Of course, I would be more than happy to be completely wrong and watch him hit 25 hr's and bat .280.

The odds are that Ibanez will do about what Posada did.
