Lots of hoopla with Ubaldo drilling Tulo. Where was the hoopla when Yanks got drilled

How many times have we seen our guys getting drilled without much recourse.  It seems there is en masse appeal to apply punishment, insisting this was done with intention.

Ubaldo Jimenez played it smart with the incident aftermath with his Sgt. Schultz imitation: "I Know Nothing..." No fuel for MLB inquiry.

Rocks manager Jim Tracy on Ubaldo: "That was the most gutless act I've seen in 35 years of professional baseball."

MLB should be able to rule on ubaldo beanball w/o video. Remember, most crimes aren't taped. Witness accounts count

Umps at the game didn't read intent from Jimenez, apparently, because they didn't eject him. So can MLB discipline without video? We'll see.

Always proud to be a Yankee fan.

Our players can get hit all done long and nothing is done. I don't expect that to be different here.

It has a way of repaying........perhaps someone will take a liner back up the middle on Ubaldo and drill him in his nads this year.

If the umpires didn't do anything about it, then neither will Selig.  He doesn't have the guts to overrule them.  Boston and Baltimore pitchers hit the Yankees all the time and nothing's ever done about it.

2009 Beckett throwing at Abreu's head after the ump gave him time.....

I remember that one.  Pedro taught Beckett well.  2 of the biggest slimeballs on the mound in the game.  Maybe its just me, but I've also noticed an increase from the O's pitchers since Buck took over.

Yeah, I'm ready to see one of our guys take a big hard swing and accidently let the bat fly right at the pitcher! Or right at Buck or Bobby who are both too old and slow to duck.

Ubaldo is just mad because he's starting to pitch like D-Train.......and he's stuck in Cleveland. Tongue Out

This was never more obvious last season in early June when Red Sox pitchers hit Teixera, Martin, Cano, Jeter, and Rodriquez during a three game series and when Sabathia hits Ortiz during the last game both benches are warned. I love Girardi but he needs to have his pitchers protect his hitters. It's not only about retaliation but keeping opposing pitchers honest in their dealings with Yankee hitters.
