His actions after hitting Tulo almost seem like it was a premeditated act, that said who  knows what was said by Tulo after he was HBP. I didn't view the video until after I posted in this thread the first time and have to admit I'm surprised by all the coverage this has gotten and negative press Ubaldo got for just hitting him on the arm. I'd expect something like this if it was behind him or at his head. SOmething like the square shot Montero took to the head, that was ugly.

That explains a lot. You didn't actually SEE the HBP, huh?

It was more like Benitez hitting Tino - and THAT did get a lot of outrage.

Now, aren't you glad the Yanks weren't conned by Colorado into picking this bust up?

I don't know what it explains???  If you're able to comprehend my post it states I've seen the video but didn't see it prior to post 10.

I fail to see your point. You're admitting you were commenting on something you didn't see.

How many times have we seen our guys getting drilled without much recourse.  It seems there is en masse appeal to apply punishment, insisting this was done with intention.

Ubaldo Jimenez played it smart with the incident aftermath with his Sgt. Schultz imitation: "I Know Nothing..." No fuel for MLB inquiry.

Rocks manager Jim Tracy on Ubaldo: "That was the most gutless act I've seen in 35 years of professional baseball."

MLB should be able to rule on ubaldo beanball w/o video. Remember, most crimes aren't taped. Witness accounts count

Umps at the game didn't read intent from Jimenez, apparently, because they didn't eject him. So can MLB discipline without video? We'll see.

I know you are the biggest member of the Art Vandelay fan club and you try to use my quotes wherever you can but that was for another thread, this one is obviously Yankee related and should remain here....  Chas, pin this thread...

I did?? Apologies to the rest of the members of the forum but here's post 10 again from me in its entirety since you are evidently to lazy to scroll up before you post your nonsense.

If the umpires didn't do anything about it, then neither will Selig.  He doesn't have the guts to overrule them. Boston and Baltimore pitchers hit the Yankees all the time and nothing's ever done about it.

This was never more obvious last season in early June when Red Sox pitchers hit Teixera, Martin, Cano, Jeter, and Rodriquez during a three game series and when Sabathia hits Ortiz during the last game both benches are warned. I love Girardi but he needs to have his pitchers protect his hitters. It's not only about retaliation but keeping opposing pitchers honest in their dealings with Yankee hitters.

The difference is that Ubaldo and the Rockies were sniping at each other all offseason, and Ubaldo THREW HIS GLOVE and CHARGED THE PLATE.

Chirs Dickerson got BEANED by the O's to the point that his helmet broke. NO ONE said shyt!

Did the pitcher bound off the mound and start challenging the Yanks to bring it, and deliberately cause a brawl?

Big. Difference.

BS!

Well, aside from all the arguing here... It seems to me like Ubaldo may be a little unhappy with his old team. Undecided

Just a wild guess.
