You're very generous. I wish I was better than that.  I'm very immature about tough Yankee losses.

I wasn't trying to insult you.  That wasn't the intent.

Maybe people are not as confident in this team that they're willing to admit on these boards and are venting in frustration. Embarassed

Girardi should be called out for the Rapada call. You never mail a 4run game in ever, let alone against your main rival for the east...thats just stupid. What is this bizarre notion everyone needs a rest...we've played three freakin games. Now i had to endure Stewart, them Ibanez at right and Eddy scissorhands the day before that.

Nothing Joe did this series had any logic to it. But Rapada who gets destroyed by righty batting in to face one of the best hitters in the majors in Longoria, and then paint the picture his team need rest by the secondgame is flat out disgusting.

Game one the walk was baffling..but what he said in game two...just inexcusable. And this quote...

“I can’t use Mo, Robertson and Soriano every day, and when we’re losing, we try to get some innings out of some other guys down there.”

 I don't like a manager that concedes a game.

This is year five of Girardi doing the same thing. Resting his players when the situation doesn't allow or dictate resting your players. Ya know, day 2, for instance.

Unbelievable.  You don't rest your players in the 2nd game of the season, and especially against a team that you have to beat to win the division.  Geez, they go to Baltimore next, give them a rest then.

I read on sat, where he was planning on "resting" Alex today.

Long story short, Girardi isn't and never really has been a good manager. People who say he's "middle of the road" are being very generous. I couldn't name a manager that makes more confusing choices if I tried. There is absolutely no reason Jeter needs to be rested 2 games into the season, and coaching the first inning of the first game of the season like it's the wildcard playoff is also puzzling. It's really a shame that we are 3 games into the season and even staunch supporters of the team are calling him out already. It doesn't bode well for the next 6 months. I guess the one bright side is that we are losing to a very good team and not some scrub, but if they can't get it done against Baltimore and their 1-9 starter, Hell will really break loose.

Burying your argument with the facts.
