Let me see. 11 runs so far this season and Swisher has 4 RBI....

You guys are crazy. First its three games and the panic is setting in. Then you complain about one of the guys that is actually playing well..

Granted Swisher has delivered runs.  Fans are just frustrated with zero wins.  With zero runs, man on 2nd and 3rd with one out as Swisher was ahead of the count (2-0)..... Swisher's out should at least be a productive one.  That pop up in the infield didn't get the job done.  Again Yankees stranded two man on base yielding nada.

With that being said..wins are coming.  I look forward to a game each night.  We waited months for baseball to return, 3 loses will not derailed a fun/competitive season ahead.

Now if YES can do something to straighten out this messed up messageboard....Yell

Always proud to be a Yankee fan.

I can't wait to not think of how to burrow the word s h I tty into their names (Teix**** and Swishhitty) whilst they flail in clutch spots.  It's just humor.

Perfect example of what I am saying. 3 of those RBIs came in the 9th inning of a game we were losing 8-3. Grant it it made the game closer but I would trade that hit for him getting a hit either time at bat on Sunday. 2nd and 3rd one out pop out. 1st and 2nd 2 outs and he strikes out.

So runs that make a game possibly winnable dont count they only count in close games? Did anyone make a thread when Jeter grounded out with the bases loaded? Didnt think so.

Typical of Swisher, Bruner. Here's his 2011 numbers.

He'll mix in some hits at times when they are needed but the overall numbers just aren't good. In the playoffs when pressure is magnified he completely goes in a shell. (not news to anyone I'm sure)

In deed Swisher delivered runs  in the past games. Here's the thing, Hughes was keeping Yankees in the game. With man on 2nd and 3rd with one out, situtational hitting is vital.  Swisher was ahead of the count (2-0) one more ball thrown would have the pitcher on the ropes with 3-0 count.  He either loads the bases or throws a hittable cookie with one out.  Swisher choses to swing away for a in field pop up, indeed an unproductive out.

With great opposing pitching from the mound, opportunity doesn't present it self often.  A missed opportunity is likely to yield a loss.

that's an idea but girardi better have gotten a hunch what has happened going back to the ALDS in october. matter of fact, this probably is more of a worry going forward this season than the pitching.

It's not necessary to fiddle the lineup yet. The Yankees scored a bunch of runs in the first two games to not merit a change in the middle of the lineup. The problem it seems, right now, is our pitching.  Then again, that gets a pass because opening day is against the Rays, in their ballpark. However, Yankee pitching cannot surrender more than 6 runs per game

yes, we have a winner!  CC wasn't himself on Friday - he seems to start out slow and I admit Joe G made a bonehead call in the first that didn't help him much....   game two Kuroda wasn't all that good, game 3 Hughes pitched ok but not even lasting 5 makes it a bad start...   the offense is fine....
