I just received a call that YES board member EnterSandman passed away Easter Sunday. His wife Roberta called me to tell me the sad news. For longtime members he'll be remembered for his great spring training reports. He was a diehard Yankee fan. I became good friend with him on this board and we used to email each other regularly. A couple years ago when I went down to ST Pete for a vacation we got together, and he took me to the Yankees complex and caught a minor league game together. It was the highlight of my trip. I was looking forward to seeing him again this summer if his he was up to it. I will miss him.
Rest in Peace buddy.
RIP Sandman... While you're up there, talk to the Big Guy about a few more titles,eh?

When Sandman started his ST reports that to me was the first sign summer and Yankee baseball was right around the corner. RIP Sandman
I'm with you on that New.. Always an indication that the fun was about to begin. I will miss his thoughtful contributions to these boards.
Life is better when the Yankees win !

That's too bad, he was a good dude. Sorry to hear the news. On a positive note, my parents are moving to Florida. So hopefully next year I can hit spring traing, although I'll probably be drunk and thus unable to do as good a job as Entersandman at the spring training reports, but it's better than nothing I suppose.

Very sad news. His spring training reports were a kind of Rite of Spring back when he did them regularly. He will be missed.

Kind of puts things in perspective hey Strat. Funny, we're faceless ( well I do have my ugly mug public ) and interact behind a key board but over the years we become " friends " and when one leaves us or is not posting we are sad or wonder if they're ok. I remember we were all going bongers when BG wasn't posting awhile back....I was even doing searches for accidents in his area! Another oldtimer who I havent seen is Bobbycuban, remember him? He saw Joe D play and kind of got on the nerves of the ladies here lol. Just some thoughts rambling around here.

I havent been around as long as many here, but I have been for about 3-4 years. I havent seen a few folks I remember from a while back. Anyone seen searle, acemitchell or oldschool? On a more recent note, wheres newinn and northernclipper?
