It's early in the season and guys are just trying to do too much. This team has a couple nice extra inning wins back to back games, seemed like last year we would always lose these types of games. The fact that we have won a couple early on is a great sign imo.
It's not Nunez fault that he got to third with no outs and no one drove him in. If they had, then the game wouldn't have gone to extra innings and he wouldn't have had the mistake in the 10th.
No, but is his fault that every throw he makes is almost an error (and a lot are errors). And it's his fault that he got picked off first. Unfortunately, it was right before Tex hit the double.
Nunez is not a smart player and he's lousy defensively. Most importantly though, you don't pinch run him for Arod and lose Arod's bat. Nunez is an inferior defensive replacement and Chavez can't really hit anymore. Losing Arod for a pinch runner creates a hole at 3rd base.
