it's a gimmick .  Baseball is my last refuge from modern day nonsense. Last thing I want to see clogging up my screen real estate is an silly ap on my  tv telling me something I already know. 

We have to draw a line in the sand now, before YES throws meebo on the TV which will tell use important things like whats on Swishers ipod playlist or what taco truck Cano prefers when the Yankees play in L.A.

And most of the time when NESN shows their K Zone it's only to benifit the calls that should be in favor of the Red Sox... The hardly ever show it when it's a call that was made wrong against one of their pitchers..
