As Swisher does well in the 2nd hole, lets have a little patience if Nunez at 3B creates a fumble or two.....SealedFoot in Mouth

4. Alex Rodriguez, DH
5. Mark Teixeira, 1B
6. Curtis Granderson, CF
7. Andruw Jones, LF
8. Russell Martin, C
9. Eduardo Nunez, 3B

P: Phil Hughes (0-1, 3.86 ERA)

Angels:

1. Erick Aybar, SS
2. Howie Kendrick, 2B
3. Albert Pujols, 1B
4. Kendrys Morales, DH
5. Torii Hunter, RF
6. Albert Callaspo, 3B
7. Vernon Wells, LF

I'm sorry lauren, but Nunez' defense makes me worry too much during a game.

From LoHud:

• Eduardo Nunez will get the start at 3B with A-Rod DHing. With a lefty in C.J. Wilson on the mound for the Angels, Eric Chavez once again finds himself on the bench (although he has a career .429 batting average vs. Wilson in seven at-bats). He only has two at-bats so far this season (with one hit). Girardi was asked about any concerns he may have about Nunez’s knack for committing errors. “He’s been OK,” Girardi said. “He had the one error on the first play in Tampa, but people were talking about how the infield was a little hard and there were some clumps that were breaking up a little bit. But he’s looked OK to me. I don’t want to judge him too quick, because everyone is excited in the first week of the season.”

Hope you are well Robbie and that you have a great Summer! Smile

Nunez makes me a bit apprehensive.  I'm trying to convince myself to have a bit of patience. Surprised

He's worn on my nerves already ... I wish I could have patience, but for some reason when I see him on the infield, I start to think about a good stiff drink!

His defense is horrible and worse than last year.  No improvement on the horizon.

I honestly didn't see the point in re-signing Chavez.

I'm still willing to be patient with Nunez.  I think he's got talent, and he doesn't seem to be getting down on himself.  I'll defer to the guys who get paid to make these decisions.  They see a real upside, or he wouldn't still be here and in the line-up.
