nwfire176 Posts: 5,956	Bush and the Republicans manipulated gas prices before the elections in a last ditch effort to win. (Actually, a more truthful statement would be that all incumbents were complicit on both sides of the aisle.) There have already been overtures that Obama will do the same but without the political support of the oil companies, it is rumoured that they will keep the prices high to maintain the only talking point the the Republicans have. Personally, I'd like to see Obama stay the course. Energy prices too high ... then invest in alternative energy.
