We keep talking about the offense but how about our starting staff give us quality performances? So far there have only been two games where they have gone six innings or more. That is what has hurt us more than the whining and moaning about the offense, which is starting to pick up.

There are going to be games where you will only score two or three runs. Having to hope that the offense scores five or more runs in order to win is not a way to go through the season.

I think the staff will pick up but they have been responsible for more of the losses then our offense.

I realize we are only 10 games into this season but pitching was supposed to be their strength. Surprised

anyone here over 40?  well, you know how it is the next morning after a hard workout, getting out of bed is a little slower, you don't hit your stride until about mid morning and by the end of the day you're rarin to go...  well that's how it is with a veteran team, we have seen this over and over and in the end we keep winning - but each time it happens you folks act like it's the first time you saw it...  it's like a goldfishes memory, they say a goldfish will swim in it's bowl, see the rock that has been in it's bowl for months and each time they see it it's like the first time...

The Yankee offense can score a ton of runs.  The problem as it seems to be is timely hitting.  They can get 10 runs in an inning one day and the next cant bring in a runner from third with no outs, but what team doesnt go through that.  It just seems the Yanks do that more often than other teams. Those are the days I tear off what is left of my hair.

many things are not what they seem - if it was true the team's success would prove that timely hitting doesn't matter...  in reality it is not true that the Yanks do this more than any team, they are actually better in these hitting situations....

Part of the reason behind this misconception is that the Yankees put more men on base than many teams.  More opportunities....

yup, and basically for almost an entire generation we have won the most games just about every season and somehow this seems to be a "major problem"....

Hey, you  are probbly right but from my observation it seems that whenever they need that 1 run to tie the game, they cant get it.  My friends call Joe decisions as the reverse Midas.  Nothing seems to work even if its the abosolute right move.  Examples are: Joe would bunt runner over to scoinrg position.  Maybe im forgetful but i have never seen a run score after runners were bunted over.
