Calling Melky better than Swisher in any situation is a poor joke. I would've prefered that they kept Melky over Gardner but Gardner has played quite well this young season.

yankeedoodle Posts: 2,779	I stand by Melky over Swisher, many here still think of him as the sloppy rookie when he was not yet ready for the outfield..The same problem is happening with Nunez you must be patient with younger players.... Watching Swisher posturing and complaining about every called strike looking to heaven after every chip hit and stumble around the outfield like a caveman may work for some but IMO he's a mediocre hot dog.

I think that the some of the Yankees management still feels that way. If they make a trade with the Giants with Soriano. maybe he'll come back to the team. Jones and Ibanez aren't exactually tearing up the Stadium with their bats and fielding performamces. Clipper
