Hi Strider,  I feel that he just don't have it mentally.  He shows flashes with his bat, but he is lost on the base paths and He is horrible no matter where he plays as a fielder.  I think back to just a few years ago that the Yanks were going to LET CANO GO because he was in a funk.  Now look at him!  They are WAY to patient with Nunez!  The Farm is full of guys that can play better than him!

Name me one ???

If so he would be up, there's no one down on the farm that's close to being ready...

The Kid sitting in Scranton is one and you can pick anyone all the way down to "C" ball!

Who is this kid in Scranton you keep referring to?  If you mean Doug Bernier, he's 31 or 32 I think.  He's a career journeyman/ minor leaguer.  The Yankees have no middle infielders above A-ball worth thinking seriously about as far as I know.

FOR THE LIFE OF ME I can't remember his name but in the spring games that I saw he wore #76.  Eduardo is on 1st right now with Jetes up.  Gotta go!

Hi there ... just wanted to let you know that there is a quote feature ... when you look at a post, in the upper right hand corner, it's the second picture out of the three pictures ... it's a quote ... you just click on it, and it will quote the person's post and let you reply at the bottom ... this way they will actually receive an email saying you responded to a post of theirs, and you can get better conversations going that way.  Just in case you didn't know about it, I thought I'd fill you in.

Hope you enjoy the board.

and WELCOME!

You get an email? I have to wait for chas to come to my house and tell me. That's why everybody always replies faster than I do! It was so much easier on the old forum... I used to get a telegram.

What happened to the cans and string?

Good offense can make up for some shoddy defense.  IMO, Nunez's offense isn't good enough to make up for his defense, which is unacceptable for a MLBer...

I'd like to see him get a chance at a single position for an extended time. I bet he would show good defense.

Nunez is the hottest hitter we got right now.. He's batting over .400 and steals bases like no one else on the team.. He made some good throws from SS yesterday and some think he doesn't belong ?????

Just make him available and you'd have a whole bunch of teams after him.. Tongue Out

We may not agree about Nunez but one thing that we all agree on is that We want the YANKEES to win!  Nunee has a long way to go before seeing him play where Jetes & Cano should be makes me feel good.  On a brighter note should we Yankee Fans take up a collection for Bobby Valentine and buy him some Ketchup to go with the CROW that he is eating from what he said about the Yankees over the winter?  When he beat him & his Mets in 2000 for all the marbles he acquired a fondness for CROW CORDON BLEU!
