OUCH!

Yankees commit to Garcia for next start

ARLINGTON -- Freddy Garcia's troublesome outing against the Red Sox will not push him to the Yankees bullpen, as manager Joe Girardi said that the veteran right-hander "absolutely" will remain in the club's starting rotation.

The Yankees have not yet decided how to align their rotation beyond Friday, when Ivan Nova is scheduled to pitch against the Tigers at Yankee Stadium. They could pitch Garcia on Saturday or bring back ace CC Sabathia on his regular rest.

"We're not sure what we'll do, if we'll put Freddy there or bring CC back on his normal rest," Girardi said. "But Freddy's going to pitch again, if that's the question. Freddy's going to start again."

Uh, there kinda forced to commit to him for his next start. The only other option would be David Phelps. Until Pettitte is ready, which will still be another week and a half or so, the Yankees are forced to commit to Garcia.

I say call up DJ Mitchell and give him a shot, he can't be any worse then Freddy right? Out Freddy in the bullpen and send Epply down.

He might have another start, but I still think the Yanks are doing what the Mafia does so well, first they kiss you, then they kill you. Girardi is saying all the right things, but bottom line is Andy will be with the Yanks soon, and I think it will be Garcia the one to go.

I don't understand why they would rather pitch Garcia than CC. Which one gives the Yanks the better chance of winning?

Even if Phelps is terrible, isn't it better to take a shot with him than it is to pitch Garcia whom they know will be terrible?

Burying your argument with the facts.
