Or lack of....  It's the usual suspects....last night everyone between Jeter and Ibanez. These guys have got to score runs! They have to get the runner in with less than 2 outs. It's they same as last season.... to many lob.

I think soem other guys are beginning to hit their sdtrides Lola. Granderson and Robbie are two that immediately come to mind. It looks liek even Tex is dialed into watching the pitch rather than blindly swining from his heals.  As much as I value him for his D, Russel Martin needs to hit higher than the interstate.

Arod .221,  Cano .267,  Granderson .257,  Tex  .268,  Jones .154,  Martin  .182.

Those numbers speak for themselves.  It's homer or go home for this team.

It's win some, lose some. That's baseball.

Now, this team has been inconsistent offensively for years, we all knew that going into this season. Plus the team traded away a player who appeared to be a surefire offensive weapon this year, for a starting pitcher. And most around here were perfectly okay with that trade. So there's really no excuse whatsoever for bemoaning the state of the team's offense.

Saying that, I realize people have to start threads and talk about something, otherwise this forum would be awful quiet. Smile

Babe.... Now you got me crying all over again....I was not happy with this trade. Mayb a day off and some regrouping will get these guys going. Looks like Boston's found a resurgence.

In my best Frankie Valli Falsetto voice...ahem

Big girls don’t cry
Big girls don’t cry

Big girls don’t cry-yi-yi (they don’t cry)
Big girls don’t cry (who said they don’t cry?)
My girl said goodbye-yi-yi (my oh my)
My girl didn’t cry (I wonder why)

(Silly boy) told my girl we had to break up
(Silly boy) hoped that she would call my bluff
(Silly boy) then she said to my surprise
“Big girls don’t cry?
Big girls don’t cry-yi-yi (they don’t cry)
Big girls don’t cry (who said they don’t cry?)

(Maybe) I was cru-u-uel (I was cruel)
Baby I’m a fool (I’m such a fool)

(Silly girl) “Shame on you?your mama said
(Silly girl) “Shame on you, you’re cryin?in bed? (Silly girl)
“Shame on you, you told me lies? Big girls do cry

Big girls don’t cry-yi-yi (they don’t cry)
Big girls don’t cry (that’s just an alibi)
Big girls don’t cry
Big girls don’t cry

There's no crying in baseball!

Joe, Robbie is batting 267 and Granderson 257. That is definitely not hitting their strides. I guess that it might be for Grandy but Cano? Maybe Girardi needs to put the batting order back the way it was last season (and the previous ones). Or maybe we just need to be patient and they'll come around.

I don't think the offense has done terribly this month ... but I expect them to heat up quite a bit by around mid-to-later May.

The Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons along with the Beach Boys were my favorite groups. Now you sent me back to my youth! Great memories!
