Well, I don't agree with closing stores so one person can shop ... that really does make a huge example out of the fact that there truly is a 1% out there ... and I truly don't think it can be compared to when someone has already become President ... a President cannot go anywhere without everything closing down for security reasons ... he should not be blamed for that ... he still wants to have a life during the 4 years that he is President, so things will have to be closed when he goes places ... President Obama is your first black President ... we, as a Country, do not want to see him assassinated ... so the security is there for a very good reason ... it cannot be blamed on President Obama.

I'm going to go duck now, cause I expect eggs to be thrown ... although I would prefer I nice chocolate cream pie instead!  Wink

What a dumb thing to say! "President Obama is our first Black President... we, as a country, don't want to see him assassinated" . I guess because he's Black that's more important. What a truly stupid statement. I can't even say it's racist because it's so stupid!

Whats stupid about that????????????????????????????

He just likes to attack me no matter what I say ... even when my post was agreeing with his liberal buddies ... he's the one that's stupid!

Sorry, it was not the content but what you said, the first Black POTUS like we need to protect him more than any other POTUS.

Well I think you are pretty stupid ... because yes indeed, because of the racists in this Country that still exist ... we do indeed need to protect him even more than other Presidents who were not black.  Wow, the idiocy!

According to most Conservatives there is no racism, just division caused by Obama. Obama deserves everything he gets. He's a POS, a terrorist, wasn't born in this country, he's Muslim, he hates Whites, he will turn our country over to the Muslims in his second term. He is like Hitler, he's a Halfrican. Need I say more?

Well as much as you like to go after me with every statement I make, and call me out for not being an Independent, I truly am an Independent ... and I voted for Obama in 2008 and even worked on his campaign ... he has lost my vote due to several issues ... but I don't agree with the things he has been called ... I would never disrespect him to that degree ... I don't condone any of what you wrote.  Just because as an Independent, I have decided to vote this time around for the Republican, does not mean that I feel that the man I voted for in 2008 (President Obama) is the anti-Christ!

I am not calling you a liar but it's hard for me to believe you voted for Obama and this is why. He had the same views on choice as he has now. You didn't know that? and some of the other things you say about Obama lead me to believe you have a bad memory.

Anyone around this board in 2008 knows I was on the Obama team ... I don't have to prove a thing!

and Obama didn't lose my vote based solely on his views on choice ... he went further ... and that's when he lost me.

Give up on Davey. I've come to see he has a reading comprehension problem....not to mention a name calling problem.

I know, I have to go back to just ignoring him ... it's not worth trying to talk to him ... he just seems to always want to attack.

In this case, Dave actually makes an interesting point. In a roundabout way, he's asking how you could have possibly supported Obama last time around knowing his position on abortion. I'd figure a person like you would rather not vote at all than support a candidate with his views on abortion. To actually campaign for him is pretty shocking.

Unlike Dave, I'm not questioning your word -- I'm just wondering how a religious voter can push this aside. And again -- I'm not trying to single you out -- you're one of millions who did the same thing. I have relatives who did the same, and I asked them the same question. They tried to evade the question by saying they vote on more than just one issue. So do I, but that doesn't answer my question. I'd figure his position on abortion is a dealbreaker from the start -- end of story.

But I was obviously wrong. That's why I'm still curious, and why I ask you the same question I asked them.

Two words ... George Bush!

George Bush had me so crazed that I did something I would not normally do.

As much as I detest abortion, I also detest going to war (in Iraq) that I didn't feel was necessary ... lives were lost in that war ... and it was totally without merit, in my opinion.

P.S.  I voted for George Bush twice!

George Bush wasn't running...  besdies didn't you say that you were not aware of the extent of Obama's abortion views? (ie - voting against legislation that would have let babies who survived the butchering to get medical help?)
