RIP Moose. Sadly another old timer leaves us.

Hey YES Network.....how about paying tribute to some of these old timers with some game clips from some WS games in the 60's AT LEAST!

Is the YES Network even here because of the NY YANKEES? Yankee HISTORY is important.

Its like yelling at a wall.

Heard he was an amazingly funny story teller, it would be nice if YES would do a Yankeeography on more of these special old timers.  I would love to see footage and hear various interviews from guys like Moose and Hank, etc all those 1950 Yankees that many of us saw at old timers day but never got  to see play in their heyday.

Amen Rockin! I'm re reading a book right now thats filled with just the players recalling certain periods of Yankee history and its great. Its called " Bombers ". Yankeeography is a good thing YES does but they could a hell of a lot more !

it's a very sad night...just heard the news about Bill Skowron on the YES pre-game show...my runny nose and watery eyes are unavoidable...what a fine ball player...played the game properly...he will be dearly missed; but this accomplishments and fond memories will endure...most don't recall or are unaware of the fact that Moose hit 28HR's in that magical 1961 season...thinkof it...that's 115 by Mantle and Maris (hence, 115 by 7 and 9) plus an additional 28 by Moose...143 HR's by three team mates in a season...unheard of...that's more than most entire teams hit that season...

will have to add that one to my list Craner. Yeah,I dont get it with YES. I'm not interested in seeing a game from 3 years ago that they call a" classic". Half the time I see those games on tv,I'm trying to figure out what was so classic about them.  Yankees have a treasure trove of lore,  a ton of subjects they could cover, and they dont event come close to skimming the surface.

Basically I tune in at 7 during the season and turn the channel off for the reminder of the year when the season is over because there is zero original programming. All they have to do is package some old interviews and highlights on players and throw them up on the channel., doesnt have to be a Sanctioned Yankeeography.

I'm pretty easy going, I would watch a program on  Andy Stankiewicz's magical 92 season if they had one Laughing Just make some original Yankee shows. A Micheal Kay talk show,  and New Jersey basketball aint for me, I'm not sitting though that crap.

So very very true. Been after YES for yrs on this subject. They dont even respond. The richest hisory in sports.....aggravating.

Yea get that book....they go through the Yankee history and have only players commenting....like a rolling talk show.
