Anyone guessing who have interest in Abreu??

Angels Release Bobby Abreu

The Angels announced that they have released veteran Bobby Abreu.  The outfielder was in the final season of his three-year contract extension with the Halos and is set to make $9MM.

The slugger has been outspoken about his reduced role with the club since the offseason and there has been a great deal of speculation that his tenure with the Angels was coming to an end.

Always proud to be a Yankee fan.

If Abreu wasn't happy being a part time player with the Angels, what makes any of us think he'd accept that same role with the Yankees? I don't see him in pinstripes this time around.

If the Angels release one of their starters, maybe then Cashman will be interested.

IMO he's a must sign for the Yankees. But I doubt that they will.

He's an on base machine. He hits LHP and RHP. I'd DH him 6 games a week.

He hit .255 and .253 in his last 2 seasons as a fulltime player for the Angels, and he's bad defensively now.  The guy's shot.

stay far away from Abreu. I agree he is shot.

I just wish we had Trout coming. We could have had Trout, if we hadn't sign Teixeria.

Trout would have been traded already for Jamie Moyer or Derek Lowe, either of which would have gone on the DL a week after the trade.
