Angels Release Bobby Abreu

Angels Release Bobby Abreu By Zach Links [April 27 at 9:33pm CST] The Angels announced that they have released veteran Bobby Abreu. The outfielder was in the final season of his three-year contract extension with the Halos and is set to make $9MM. The slugger has been outspoken about his reduced role with the club since the offseason and there has been a great deal of speculation that his tenure with the Angels was coming to an end. Always proud to be a Yankee fan.

doubleplay643 Posts: 3,079	If Abreu wasn't happy being a part time player with the Angels, what makes any of us think he'd accept that same role with the Yankees? I don't see him in pinstripes this time around.

IMO he's a must sign for the Yankees. But I doubt that they will.
