the season is still young, but is it too early to think about trade candidates and targets? ok guys, let em rip: who should be traded, and for whom?

my target is Matt Garza of the Cubs. he has pitched in the AL East before with the Rays, and he is still relatively young. i am not sure what it would take for us to get him, but its worth a look.

Way too early. No way to tell who will end up injured, traded, signed to extension, or fall off the map.

Garza's course is set.  He's a head case.

There's going to be a number of teams after Garza and the Cubs will deal him, IF they get what they want.  He won't come cheap to a new team.  They're rebuilding so they'll want some top prospects in return.

ok...what about John Lannan of the Nationals? they want to trade him, he is owed $4 or $5mil, and i know he is stinking up the joint in AAA, but he was a good pitcher a year or two ago, and he is left handed. wouldnt cost much, in fact the Nats would take anything, maybe even Garcia! lol

absolutely - gone are the days when the Yanks could grab a player from a team looking to dump some salary with little competition from other teams...  with all the new ballparks and tv deals many teams have money to spend also...  plus the fact that with another wild card you are gonna have a lot more teams in it until the end...

welcome to parity in baseball folks!!!  if you spent the past decade and a half whining about our team you missed out on a helluva run that will never be repeated!!!

Epstein knows the Yankees  farm very well. He would probably ask for Banuelos , Betances and Williams and /or Tyler Austin.
and he ain't worth that kind of haul by any means.
