Minor league deal.   I'm sure they'll put him on their Durham AAA roster.  Minor league deals are never a bad thing.

I remember reading that he signed in Japan cause I was shocked after he wouldn't let Yankees trade him to Japan.  Sorry, don't remember the team.

ANd there's a reason for that. Matsui of 09 has slowly given way to a Matsui who can still mash but is NOT the World Series MVP of 09.
