Real nice outing from Kuroda.  He got some help from Nunez making a few adventurous plays in left and from Martin who stood on his head in the 7th.   I won't go on about Martin, because I was told in chat last night that what he did in the 7th was nothing worth mentioning.

Let's not forget the Ibanez non catch at the wall that 99% of RF catch for an out / and nobody scores there.

Nothing new... just a veteran pitcher going out and getting the job done.

So far he's been better then I thought he would be. It will be interesting to see how his stuff translates the second time around the league.

Hi Newinn, one of the reasons I was bullish on Kuroda this offseason was his statistics on the road were slightly better than Dodger Stadium and IIRC his interleague statistics were relatively on par with his National League stats. Of course that doesn't mean that success in the A.L. East is a given but I considered him lower risk to flop in the Bronx and better than the alternatives (not counting Darvish).

All in all I've liked what I've seen of his game so far this season. That said I'd like to see him get a little lower in (and out of) the strike zone though.
