Meanwhile the Scranton Nomands have a NO. 7 playing the outfield and doing a pretty good job, Kevin Russo. He made some good defensive plays in Saturday night's game against Lehigh Valley Iron-Pigs.

Right, all 155 games and 390 AB's in 2 1/2 years. That's not even a full season. BTW his OBP is .318.

I wonder if all the Gardner haters are starting to see some of his value with both his defense and speed. I also think he's going to be a solid 280 hitter this year.

Just like last year with Jeter, Nunez really makes you appreciate the guy he's filling in for.....

Yeah, because .318 is soooooooooooooooooo much better than .308. By the way, Martin's is in the mid .350's and I haven't seen him get a hit all season.

that maybe Nunez's greatest talent, cause it certainly isnt his fielding or baserunning.

He has a right fielder's arm and speed.  If he can judge the ball well with some time out there, he'll be good.  Some say he doesn't hit for enough power, but I think he'd be a 25 HR guy with a lot of doubles if he played every day.

With Gardner, Grandy and Nunez in the OF they will be very few tweaners that fall for hits.

Your kidding right?  The only time I want to see nunez in the of is when he's got his bags packed and carrying them to join a minor league team...

You take one look at how he positions himself...what he does when a ball is hit and you know he is awful in the of.

I was just correcting him, not saying it was soooooooooooooooo much better. How did Martin get into the conversation the subject was Nunez vs Ibanez or Jones and his career numbers? You certainly have a way of twisting things. BTW Martin is at .333 not mid .350's OBP. Get your facts straight at least before you criticize someone.
