Let's all pray it's not as serious as it sounds. Best case is he comes back at the end of next year. So in 2014 we will see how he has come back from this injury. I'm hoping for a Chris Carpenter recovery.

I hope this is a wake up call for him and he gives himself every chance to reach his potential by getting in great shape. Many broke my stones when I complained about him coming to ST out of shape but to me it's an indication of his mind set. Wake up kid and go for greatness

This echoes my concerns about recovery. He'll have to show more maturity than he did prior to this spring. Let's hope the lesson was learned and uses better judgement in training and eating during the recovery period.

Well said New, who knows if the weight altered the way he threw in the Spring and he made something in his shoulder worse.  Its time to put the bag of chips down and talk to the Yankee nutritionist about a new diet!

I hope Pineda and Joba can drop some weight.  Thank God we don't have Bartolo around anymore as a role model!

Anyone hear how the surgery went for Pineda? Did they have to replace the labrum?
