As I said in another Nunez thread, what other choice did Girardi have with Swisher and Granderson out?

As I said in another Nunez thread, put Ibanez out there, There's no rule that you have to have a righty batter in the lineup.

NC...

Ibanez isn't much better in the outfield and you'll never convince Girardi to go lefty lefty unless it's Cano or Granderson.

Exactly right luv.  Ibanez is a butcher, and he's played out there for years.  He screwed a ball to the wall last night in right that should've been caught.  But the Yankees won, so it was OK.

He's a heck of a lot better than Nunez though, especially after getting away with it last night.

And this is why when you have both Gardner and Swisher hurt you should call up a real outfielder from AAA.  Nunez is not an outfielder, hell, he's barely an infielder.  They gambled and got away with him out there last night, with luck, and tonight it cost them.

LOL Like I said in another thread Luvda, it actually makes no difference. The pitcher would need to throw a shutout for the Yanks to win.

You're right, nc, that puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher when two nights in a row a dead offense. If not for Chavez and Granderson HR's they could have been shut out in back to back games. Cano and Tex are just awful, but hopefully they break out sooner than later.

Oh please... I'm not trying to make excuses, but the guy has never played there in his professional career before last night. This was going to happen, and it's not his fault. The offense couldn't score more than a run off a pitcher that would make Freddy shake his head anyway.

So what position CAN he play? Every day it's a different excuse. I'm sorry, this isn't Little League. If they guy can't play, you don't need to make excuses for him. It's always "oh, this isn't his natural position", or "he just needs a few games to get the hang of it." I'm sick of it. The guy can't cut it at the Major League level, and he provides nothing to this team outside of being a pinch runner. If Girardi really thinks he has some sort of value, let him "find himself" in the minors and get some practice there.

Burying your argument with the facts.

Of course you're sick of it.  You're like a child.  Go watch football.  I think everyone is tired of explaining this game to you.  LOOK!  There's a football helmet in your avatar... Perfect!
