This is why A-Rod should have kept quiet. The only thing that can keep Bonds and Clemens out of the Hall is suspicion of steroid use, since there is no way to actually prove whether or not they used steroids. A-Rod was probably the least-suspected of the three and would have been a lock for the Hall if he just kept his mouth shut.

Yea, That was a private list of 103 players in 2003 and he should have said that he didn't know anything nothing about it. Nobody else on that list had to admit they used steroids.

Clemens, along with the others were under subpoena to testify before Congress. I dont recall him just waliking in and saying " here I am." If he was subpoened, yea, he DID have to testify.

Clemens volunteered, he wasn't subpoenaed. It was pure arrogance and self-promotion on his part.

"Roger Clemens turned down a chance to avoid testifying at a public congressional hearing about accusations of steroid use just days before it took place four years ago, the former chief of staff for the committee that held the hearing testified Monday."

does anyone still care? If he's found guilty or not makes not makes no difference to the current yankees or our lives whatsoever. People will have already made up their own minds on Roger. For me he was a phenomenal pitcher, steroids shouldn't take that away from him. I was a little tired of his whole i'm retired, now im not...i'm baaack stuff. BUt i was as excited as the next guy when he was in George's box announcing his return. Lets face it, he probably did it coz his trainer was McNamee who is a crook...it would be nice if he didn't. But again who cares.

I just wish the government would stop spending my money on such trivial things and get back to solving the budget problems...........oh that's right they aren't smart enough to do that so they will continue to target sports.

1. Clemens used steroids..............everybody knows this except maybe Alex Rodriguez {from the board} who is a couple cans short of a six pack.

2. Clemens ain't going to the Hall of Fame.

3. Roger won't put this behind him. It will be forever in front of him.

It's not what you know, It's what you can prove. Roger Clemens was the greatest strikeout pitcher of my generation and he never needed steroids.

Kept his mouth shut?

It was leaked that he was on the list ... what, he was supposed to lie after that?

I know I'm being redundant but that list needs to be made public. The fact that its NOT, IMO, means there are no other Yankees on it. If there were, theyd have been outed for sure.

He was a great pitcher, but I will always think of him as a Red Sox. He turned down Yankee money and dissed the Yankees to go to Toronto. Because of those 2 issues, I will always dislike the guy. I tolerated him when he was a Yankee but now I can go back to hating him.
