His intention wasn't to run into the wall in fact the injury happened before he ran into the wall. So I don't see why you all are making it seem like he was trying to make some ridiculous catch, it was a routine flyball that unfortunately lead to a freak injury,

Routine fly ball my ass. If he had to run at all for that ball he should just let it go. He's a pitcher not an outfielder. Go watch the replay again, routine, Ha!

Feels a little like 1965 with player suddenly getting old, injuries and able player not preforming. However I think things are going to turn around and thing will be fine......at least I am hopeful.

Looked to me like he misjudged it, reached back and just took a wrong step but regardless I bet he's been going after balls like that since he came up. JMO

Rivera's not dumb he wouldn't jeopardize his health for a batting practice flyball.  And you watch the play again the injury happened when he landed on his foot and his knee twisted.

Not many here remember the shock of that '65 season. I remember thinking how they would bounce back in '66. Boy was I ever wrong

Yeah, it only took a decade for that bounceback.

If Mo's out for a while, and it sure looks like he will be, we're going to LOVE the Soriano deal with DRob subbing for Mo til he gets back.
