Yeah Loon you and the few others who are upset for Mo for doing something he has been doing since forever will be the only ones being annoyed at Mo for this.  It would be like getting annoyed at a fielder for hurting his arm throwing the ball during warm ups.

Mo has been doing this his entire career.  It's part of his exercise routine.  No one is at fault here.  It's an accident, an injury.  I only hope I get the chance to see the man pitch again.  He can't go out like this.  He's the greatest ever.  He deserves better.

This is horrible news, I can't believe they we wont see #42 close another game this year... I hope that he fully recovers from it even if he never pitches again. Mariano Rivera was the definition of the "Yankees" as much as

i'm gonna cry. The season is almost certainly over before its begun. I don't doubt D-Rob can be a terrific closer, but a year without Mo? Its too much to bear thinking about. Personally i think it was reckless having a 40yr old man chargin a round a damp warning track with no cleats, costly decision by Giardi and Mo regardless of whether he's done it his whole career. But its not the time or place to talk about that right now, i send MO my best wishes. Our season on the other hand is almost f****d

I can't believe there are people around trying to blame Mariano for this ... he has been doing this forever ... there was never any worry about it ... if there had been, the team would have said something to him a long time ago.

Instead of looking to blame Mo, you should be realizing how horrible of a tragedy this is for Mariano ... and have the decency to mourn his and the Yankees loss.

Unfortunately it's the nature of many people Mo.  You know?  How many people in life have you known that when there is a problem, or something's gone wrong,  assigning blame is more immediately important than solving the problem?  I can't wait to find out how Cashman is responsible somehow.  I'm sure that it has to do with how the Yankees develop god-like, legendary closers.

GottaGo, I am in mourning.  It is tragic.  The image of him going at full speed into the wall/warning track was not a soothing image at midnight last night under the news that his career was over.

Well, I find it despicable to be trying to place the blame on Mariano ... a man who has given his heart and soul to this team over the years!
