I hope you're right BG.

That wasn't my comment.  I copied it from River Ave Blues. It was probably Mike Axisa, but I hope he's right too. Even if he needs TJS, he is still only 19 so there's plenty of time for the kid.  I'd rather have him have it now than when he gets to NY.

Can you imagine if George was still around. Montero is batting.300, George would be livid.

I thought about that the other day.  He'd be going absolutely nuts by now.  Nothing you can do about injuries though.  The Yankees have certainly had their share this year.

Worst luck in a long time that I can recall.

New I certainly am not giving up on it yet but I'm definitely not even gonna think about it til he's healthy and if he ever gives us anything it'll be gravy.

That's the way I'm looking at it now too.

I was following Montero for years and couldn't wait for him to get here (same w/Hughes). Then I was against trading him but when they got Pineda I was ok with it - pumped actually to see him become an ace. Looks like the trade is a bust now. It sucks. But we got the good end of Brosius for Rogers O'Neill for Kelly Graeme for Gerald W (was it?) Justice for Ledee Tino/Nelson for Hitchcock/Davis Knoblauch for Milton Cone for Jansen (?) Girardi for ( who again?) Cecil Fielder for Sierra Arod for Soriano (you can laugh at me go'head) And others... See, we can't rob everybody all the time.

+1

I'm not sticking a knife in the back of anybody. I'm not the one who's enjoying getting screwed on every deal for pitching that Cashman makes. I would think a fan of this team would be pissed off about this situation. I don't get why you think I would be enjoying this.

What to get pissed off about? The guys got hurt. Why does it always have to be somebodys fault?

Forget it, new, AJ is the male version of Robbie Cano on this board.

Lets hope they never mate. OMG can you imagine the result?

Montero batting .305 now and making peanuts this season.

If you were the foreman on a construction job and every decision you made cost the company money you would be fired whether it was your "fault" or not. Lets say you need 40 yds of concrete. You find a company that is willing to make you a good deal. The concrete gets poured and you find out it is below spec. You didn't mix the concrete so how were you to know? Forty yards of concrete have to be ripped up and re-poured. How many times can that happen before you lose your job?

I'm sorry to see that kid go, but where would he be tonight with Arod being the DH?  He'd be on the bench, that's where.  They've got that DH position covered for the next 5 or 6 years.  If the Yankees thought that Montero would be their everyday catcher do you seriously think they would have dealt him?  Think about it.  The fact that Pineda and now Campos got hurt make it easy to rag on the trade, but Montero had no future with the Yankees with the other DH candidates they're stuck with.
