The starters not giving the Yankees innings minus Sabathia, the bullpen is weak without Chamberlain and Rivera there. Their hitting has been awful and Cano has been MIA since the beginning of the season. Ok, the whole entire offense has been MIA minus two or three but still, Cano is suppose to be the best hitter on the team. He needs to wake up.

Cano MIA?

Teixiera has a .269 OBP.

Not average, on base percentage.

To compare, Adam Dunn had a .293 OBP last year.

Yeah, Cano, MIA as in their best hitter in the lineup is hitting like a backup player right now. I know Tex is not doing much either but he has something to show for it. I just don't know what's going on with Cano right now. This has been going on longer than a month now.

I have to admit that it is not very exciting baseball.  Maybe it makes having to watch MLB.TV more palatable!

I'm beginning to wonder if the price is worth it. I know its only May but sheesh losing to the Royals???

Anyone remember the 1998 season? Lost a series to the Orioles and the horrible Twins. IT HAPPENS. The best team doesn't always win.

I remember the 1998 season. The Yanks went 113-44 after a 1-4 start, and Torre reamed the team out after getting swept by the Rays in September.

That was the 99 season. The only series they lost in September of 98 was to the BlueJays.

I think the Royals look like a pretty good young team. I wouldn't be surprised if they come in second in their division.

They do have a nice young lineup but they have zero pitching.g  Duffy looks decent but he has to be coddled whenever he gives up a hit or has a runner on base.

Don't forget the 2000 Yankees. It's a good thing they had their lead built by September because they were putrid in it,including a seven game losing streak to finish the season.
