1. Why, when a politician screws up, is the response always "the other guy did it, too"?

After all, if you are trying to prove that you are better than the "other guy", then you shouldn't be doing the same things that they are doing, because then you are not better - you are the same.

2. Has anyone ever changed sides due to a political argument?

I didn't think so.

You're right Mick.....and no I dont recall anyone here anyway changing opinion because of anyones argument.

For me, its a place to vent frustration about this Admin....and maybe to post something the media sure as hell isnt covering....like the scandals in this Admin. Maybe, just maybe someone, becuse I know theres many who read but dont post, will become aware of something despite the Obama run media.

No Mick ... I doubt anyone has ever changed their opinions due to a political argument ... but one can change opinions when a President rips up the Constitution! Wink

When you make a statement like that you really should provide proof to back up the statement.

Hey Cranie we agree. No one is going to change a mind but it you have to admit it's fun sometime to get on here and vent. And we all have one thing in common, bigger than politics I think, the New York Yankees. And you and me Craner, if we ever sat down and talked baseball it would come down to one player, #7

My best friend and I have frequently persuaded each other to change a political position.
