It's really too bad they haven't found a place he can play where he could be at least competent. I thought it would've been nice if they got him some OF experience in winter ball instead of throwing him to the wolves the way they did. He could be a valuable bat off the bench/ pinch runner. Doesn't look like this is possible here right now.

Your being very kind...you can't cure this type of fielding disfunction at the major league level.  The problem this early season is getting length in the rotation.  Combined with the loss of Mo for the season (and the rest of the bullpen moving up)...you need to have tight D.  You can't have a fielder like Nunez spelling aging stars.

Other teams have gotten younger...some have added game-changer players in the offseason.  We have a decent team, a few pieces here and there and we can be right in it.  So he's a line drive hitter with speed...problem is his bat can't carry his glove.  Maybe I'm not as kind as you...it's time for Nunez to go and I think that Yankee brass fully understand this.

I'm glad they sent him down. It was the best move. I said I didn't disagree with your opinion Nunez, there was just no evidence that the Yankees felt the same way. The kept putting him out there and kept defending him to reporters. Even after he was pulled last night Girardi was talking as if they all they had to do was just had to start playing him at one position.

I'm glad I was wrong and they came the conclusion you did.

However you bumping up the same post three times in a row so desperate to say look look I was right...shows that you are nothing but a little kid. I seriously doubt you would be admitting you were wrong if the roles were reversed.

LOL internet threats I love it. My experience has always been that people that post such nonsense online do so because they would never say those thing in person for lack of guts...Where was I giving advice ? Seems like I hit a chord with you to reacte the way you just did. Been a Yankee fan for over 45 years. Nothing you say will ever bother me. You are just proving my point. Judging from your posts here you sound very immature. It's one of the reasons I don't post here much.

I hate to see it happen, that said this was the right thing to do for his development. As I posted in the other thread he was rated the top defensive infielder in the system just a few years ago so there has to be something to work with.

It's great to hear about his attitude and work ethic, that should help him bounce back.

I hope he does Stripes.  The kid seems like he works hard, and he certainly never seemed to get bent out of shape about things.  Aside from the defensive errors, there doesn't seem to be much not to like about him.

After typing that, it occurs to me that it sounds sort of like the old bit about asking Mrs. Lincoln how she liked the play, but...

Wow, Girardi finally coming to this conclusion?   I've have been saying this for the longest time..limit Nunez to one or two position and perhap repetition of moves might create enough muscle memory to reduce errors.

As reported....

Girardi suggested Yankees might want to look at not playing Nunez at so many positions. May be contributing to errors.

It's takes time for Girardi to react to the obvious.

Here's my argument...how is his replacemant any better?  Nix cannot hit a lick and if he has speed, it's inconsequential.  From his stats..he has limited experience playing only 17 games at SS in majors league baseball making equal amount of errors.

As Nunez's shortcomings neutralize his assets, where is Nix's assets??? If you are going to replace Nunez, replace him with a stellar defensive utility guy.

Always proud to be a Yankee fan.

He put MO in the DL.

Maybe he can do the same to others #1 pitchers in the league.
