cookback Posts: 834	So, between the two of them they account for 10 HRs and 27 rbis... Not a bad tally. Ibanez in particular has had key hits. Looks like the Cashman plan is working afterall. As long as neither play defense too often that is.... Life is better when the Yankees win !

newinn Posts: 14,137	I still wish we could have traded for a young fast athletic outfielder and moved Swish to DH. Would have helped with all of the outfield injuries but Ibanez has been a better hitter then I thought he would be. Jones has not been a big deal imo.

tito Posts: 338	We actually have pretty good flexibility at DH..Jones, Raul, Alex and Jete get to DH when Nix gets playing time. Swish. Would like to see nix get more playing time myself to give that "old" left side a rest. That "old" left side is spanking the ball tho, eh?!? On thing about Joe that people here do not give him enough credit for - he is a very patient manager, almost Torre-like. I don't know why Joe gets the sh** he gets here...but then again, Torre should have been fired after 2001 too right? Let's fire Cashman too. He hasn't a clue either
