Anyone watching Giants/Bucs...tight game down the stretch.....I checked scores periodically

When the Giants GM drafted Jones 6th overall I said he will either look like a fool or a genius. Well, the Giants GM looks like a genius.

Giants fans was steaming as Giants bypass Darnold in favor of Barkley.

I thought that the Giants made the right pick with Barkley because in my opinion he was the best player in that draft. I agreed with the Jets picking Darnold too. Not sure who will be the better QB, Darnold or Jones, but the competition should be fun to watch.

Traders Joes yes. I heard Whole Foods prices have come down since being bought out by Amazon. Love Trader Joes. Thought Whole Foods had great stuff but very expensive.

Whole foods have discounts for Amazon Prime customers.  Weekly advertised specials available from scanned QR codes. I have a friend who lives in the upper Eastside.  We meet for lunch on Union Square where there is a farmers market, Trader Joe's and Whole foods.  Unfortunately hauling stuff home from the subway can be problematic.  I usually take a rolling tote bag and fill it to capacity. Unlike me, my friend has a short commute to home as I aim to head home prior to rush hour.

I have to restrain myself from buying more than I can carry. Trader Joe's is a fun place to shop.

Yes. It's the type of place you go in with a list and end up getting a lot more.

As democrats, good shopping is pork belly for $2.39/pound..and I bought 3 slabs....Laughing Not the leanest cut of pork to eat.  Nevertheless eating it sparingly is not a bad thing.

We democrats need to stretch a dollar whenever we can. The meat counter was 4 deep. I didn't fight for a popeyes chicken sandwich but darn it I fought to get in front of the counter for 5 pounds of chicken legs at 0.59/pound.Wink

Any thoughts on making salted pork belly akin to pancetta? You can slice it thinly and used like bacon. One day, I will attempt to make some...from what I read it's a combination of coarse salt, cracked peppercorns, sugar and some added spices. I'm getting hungry just thinking of it.
