Hey did you guys read in the news a guy got stabbed to death over a Poyeyes chicken sandwich?  Anyone here had one?  Which is better, Popeyes or ChickFil-A? I have not sampled neither.... Just from the look of it, Popeyes looks very crunchy and appetizing....

Heading out to do some grocery shopping.  Have a fun day peeps!!!!

Going out shopping for a good Republican can anyone tell me if donald or moscow mitch between the two which one is the best ??

As democrats, good shopping is pork belly for $2.39/pound..and I bought 3 slabs.... Not the leanest cut of pork to eat.  Nevertheless eating it sparingly is not a bad thing.

We democrats need to stretch a dollar whenever we can. The meat counter was 4 deep. I didn't fight for a popeyes chicken sandwich but darn it I fought to get in front of the counter for 5 pounds of chicken legs at 0.59/pound.

Any thoughts on making salted pork belly akin to pancetta? You can slice it thinly and used like bacon. One day, I will attempt to make some...from what I read it's a combination of coarse salt, cracked peppercorns, sugar and some added spices. I'm getting hungry just thinking of it.

In my opinion pork is the tastiest of all meats. Especially pork braciole in Sunday Gravy, which some people call sauce.

Another favorite is pork tenderloin.

Pork tenderloin or a Boston pork butt put on my Pit Boss smoker for 10 hrs sliced thin has great taste, I love to eat it right from the smoker or kept for cold pork sandwiches with a big slice of onion and mustard on it... Oh, I can't forget the cold glass of Ultra beer with it as well...

You made me hungry.

Old fan is killing me with his deliciousness... yummmm!!!!

Not much to do with politics, but sometimes we have to get away... I bought my Pit Boss smoker/grill one year ago, bought it as a close out at Wall Mart, I have used it more than I have any other grill... It makes the best meats/poultry/fish eats one can eat... It takes some time but only watch it and let it do it's thing, I'm not doing this as an advertisement for Pit Boss, there are several smokers/grills but my PB has something a little different than the Trigger which is one of the top selling smokers, what the PB has is a sliding cover over the burner, which makes the best steaks one can ever eat, it lets the open flame come through the middle cover that covers the burner... But it makes great steaks, and Boston Pork Butts, pork ribs, pork tenderloins, Standing Prime Rib Roasts, turkeys, what ever you can put on it, is so good... You can use different kinds of wood pellets for different smoke tastes...

Nothing better than putting some meat on my Pit Boss and waiting for my family to come over and watch a game or to come home after a football game and have a cold beer and some great eating smoked meat...

Anyone listen to the new rendition of a popular 1940s(?) song.."Baby it's cold outside." Seems many people are upset with it...

The original one had implications of coercion/date rape....SealedSurprisedLaughing

I did. Way to long. Thought DeNiro wasn't good. He was in part of the movie playing a much younger man but moved like the older man he is. The scene beating up the guy who touched his daughter was laughable. I don't know what Scorsese was thinking. At most it should have been 2 hrs. Very dissapointed.

 I think some need to know when to step back. If the main characters were played by younger actors it might have been better. I thought the younger actors were decent in the movie. The older ones over acted.

 What did you think Max?

I agree with you about the scene where DeNiro's character was beating up the store owner. The way he was trying to kick the guy showed his age. But all in all, I liked the movie.

That fight scene was a joke and destroyed the movies credibility. Scorsese should have cast a younger actor to play DeNiro in his youth.

Interesting story but way too loooong.

Prof agree. The younger actors I thought were good. The one who played the other union head who was butting heads with Pacino was good.Bobbie Cannavale is a good actor. The scenes with Pesci and DeNirios daughter were creepy. Want some candy little girl. At some point it's time to give the young guys a chance. IMO the best older actor in the movie was Harvey Kietel and probably because he was in the least.

 Scorcese IMO is a great  director but the length of the movie and some of the choices made shows me he lost a lot off his fastball.

If it was 2 hours I might have liked it. It sure wasn't close to Goodfellows.

~~~~~~~
Harvey Keitel was, as always, perfect. He's always been one of my favorites. If you like small character study movies, check out "Smoke". Keitel, Forest Whitaker and William Hurt.
