it's happening - the 96ers who never experienced mediocrity have no idea how to deal with a "not guaranteed to win" team....   we'll see who teh true fans are now...

By all means you have to stay positive but, there are very glaring weaknesses on this team that cant be called temporary bumps in the road. Nor can they be ignored, or blasted as negative posting when attentions called to them. The lack of clutch hitting with RISP is a pattern that's existed since late 2010. I haven't seen anything other than a HR address that. We all know too well this teams record when they do not hit an HR.  Bernie, Paulie and Tino were all capable of power yet, always seemed to get that clutch hit (non HR) it when it was needed. (All pretty unselfish players who's middle name was spelled T-E-A-M)  Starting pitching agreed, is an anomaly this season, and Id expect that to improve. Til then-----Injuries are going to test the BP and a chain is as strong as its weakest link. Yes, long season, yes, bumps in the road---bad patterns need to be addressed however and not swept under the carpet.

Like the fans have anything to say in the matter.

The frustration for me is the lack of positive energy coming from this team.  I bet if their paycheck was dependant on peformance they would work harder.  It's why we learn not to pay in advance for services.  Hope they wake up soon!

Positive energy?

Reminds me of an old story.

A boxing manager saw a priest and asked him to pray for his boxer to win. The priest replies, "Sure, but he better know how to punch, too."

Captain Jeter.... The quote by Yogi is....It gets late early... not old early. He was referring to the afternoon sun is September day games.
Here' s another quote you may have heard.... It' ain't ovah till it's ovah!
There's a lot of baseball left to be played.... i do agree with the frustration.... this team isn't very inspirational at the moment. Now we know what it feels like to root for the Mets.

The quote does fit. It does get late early in baseball. Look at the Red Sox last year. Their 2-12 start was enough to doom their entire season. Had they gone 3-11 or 4-10...

I don't know if that's sarcasm or not. If not, you should know that 2-12 in April is not any different than 2-12 September.
