I was expecting "decent" sporadic outings from him. Now, I see the dude who was out there in 2010. AMAZING!  What a talent. Poise, control, and he's getting K's to boot! Few walks too and he's ahead in counts. HR's I'm sure will stop.

Andy Pettitte is a real champion.... he's a stud!

Along that line....  I'm going to the Belmont on Saturday.... I'm hoping to see I'll Have Another win the triple crown, that would be a thrill for me. My mother was there when Secratariat won it in 1973.

with an ERA more than a run lower, obviously Pettitte is the better pitcher right now.  But..............

wins and losses have at least as much to do with run support as pitching and right now Kuroda is nearly dead last in the AL in run support for starting pitchers.  Second, while there are no guarantees, Kuroda seems likelier to make it through tehn season than Andy.

So, with a lower ERA (2.78 to 3.68) lower WHIP (1.01 versus 1.24) and roughly equal K/9 IP (8.07 for Andy, 8.50 for CC) do you think he will win more games rthan CC?

If there was more run support for Kuroda, he could have at least 7-8 wins. But, Andy is dandy this season. Pitching greeeeeeat!

Go Yankees!

Andys dealing....He looks as if he never left.

Andy brings tears to my eyes ... similar to Mariano and Jeter ...

... you know, all the old guys, who aren't supposed to be playing well anymore!

Now for those who might comment, I know Mo isn't playing this season ... that was a fluke injury ... he was pitching great before that!

...and I was looking forward to seeing Jeter, Mo, and Andy play one more season together for a chance of post season glory...

Its a little disappointing but they will all be back next year for another try!Wink Maybe jorge will be back as a coach too! Heck, maye a year off will give Jorge another shot at playing!
