Maybe, but I think what hurt them no matter who pitched was the dreaded RISP.




But run support is a totally different aspect of the game than run prevention to which we are talking about Pitching and Andy Pettitte.

If Yankee pitching (or Andy Pettitte) could've held the Tigers to just one more game scoring 2 runs or less, then the Yankees would've taken the series....despite RISP problems.

Good HITTING cannot hit Good PITCHING; Good Hitting can only hit BAD PITCHES.

true but a team putting this much money into their lineup shouldnt be forced to give up 2 runs or less to win a game. But when you field a team of mendoza hitters, of course your going to struggle with RISP. besides, Jeter and Cano, who on this roster hits for average?
