Yankee1954 Posts: 8,749	Let's discuss the notion that President hasn't kept his promises on the economy. Before the Bush recession that started with the Stock Market and bank debacle in Sept. 2008 Obama like McCain had made many campaign promises about the failing economy. After the crash wouldn't you think the promises would be off the table. Obviously the govt. Would have to take measures to stop the mess. So Obama took the advice of his advisors and created the stimulus. Ithelped save the car companies and over a million jobs just in that industry. I my area of the country there is road construction putting people to work that normally would be jobless.Since Obama took office over 4 million jobs have been created. Match this to the 750,000 jobs lost per month as Bush was leaving office. If you believe Republicans Obama should have sat on his hands and just let capitalism work. Let the car companies go bankrupt, that way they could destroy the unions and pay the workers less. But Obama didn't listen to the Righties. He didn't take the Herbert Hoover approach but acted decisively, something the Republicans fear. The Republicans have done everything they could to stop Obama from helping grow the economy. Inspite of filibusters and lies the economy continues to grow even with Europe in such a mess and China entering a recession. Housing starts were up over 3% last month and the worth of homes increased instead of declining. So let's hope the MSM starts telling the real truth instead of going overboard trying to be fair.

Don't know whats the problem with your comprehension level BJ but I've discussed may issues over the years for example Energy, Abortion, Taxes, Obamacare, Iraq and Afganhistan, since 2007. Now what do you bring to this forum besides one liners either mocking one of us Cons or mocking Sarah Palin's handicapped son? I dont recall a single issue you've discussed in much detail.
