Send him back down like last year. Maybe that will wake him up.

won't mind trading him while his value is still up there. cashman will be scared to though. that and he doesn't know crap about pitching.

sigh...

bet mitchell or warren can come up, do the same and learn on the fly without giving yankee fans more headaches.

If we lose this game,it will be on the pitcher like it was in the first game. The Yanks gave Nova a four run lead, that should be more than enough.

You know how other teams develop the back end of their rotation, so they don't have to pick up Colon and Garcia every year, or sign Kuroda?

They leave a promising kid in the rotation, and let him take his lumps and learn his trade.

Take, for example, the Angels' starter tonight, Ervin Santana, who began his career with terrific stuff, but took his lumps the 1st 3 years of his career before emerging as a quality #3 man (now pushed back to #4 with the arrival of Wilson).

Check out the 3rd and 5th seasons in his career log.

Would everyone just leave Nova alone to figure things out?

Hughes gets a shorter leash, because he's had twice as many years, and twice as many big league starts.
