Soriano hasn't been perfect...

... but he's been effective. The man did save 45 games last time he was a closer.

Hopefully, Mariano will be back in October, tho.

I don't get that warm and fuzzy feeling when he comes in, it's almost like an accident waiting to happen, but as you said he's been effective. I don't think we'll see Mo at all this year, last I heard he hasn't even had the operation yet.

I don't have a problem with Soriano closing. We got spoiled with Mo. I remember when Gossage was pitching, every 9th inning was like an adventure. He'd walk the bases loaded and then strikeout the side..LOL.

Wetteland, as well.  But a 1-2-3 inning once in a while would be nice.

Yes it would, but he hasn't had many chances either. I think it takes some time to get into a mindset of closing a game.

Soriano is going to have to last through October ... I doubt very much if Mo is going to be back by then ... he hasn't even had his surgery yet.
