The biggest argument I hate with the DH is that it takes away from the purity of the game and people enjoyed it more when the pitchers hit etc. According to attendance records,no they didn't.

I don't like the idea of inter-league play in general and playing the Mets even less. I have absolutely no interest in watching the Pirates or the Braves or whoever they play in the NL except that the gamers count in the standings.

I think that the interest in inter-league play has dropped off enough thet the revenue isn't any more than what you would get in a regular game with league rivals. I bet the attendance in Atlanta will be less for the Yankee series than it would be for a series in Detroit, Chicago or Minn.

that series will likely draw more fans to atlanta's stadium than any other games all year so i think you may be wrong

I doubt that. They already drew 120,000 for a 3 game series with Milwaukee. I don't think they will draw 40,000 a game for a weekday series.

From what's reported in the post games, Girardi and Collins would perfer a yearly 3 games series.  With parity in mind, there will be lots of interleague games going forward.

Always proud to be a Yankee fan.

The new inter-league format will have some effect.

I don't know how many games will be played under the new format but there will be at least one interleague series at all times which would mean 162 interleague games. Currently they play around 252 games.
