David Robertson Rehab Game

David Robertson made his 1st rehab appearance for AAA SWB today against Louisville.  Robertson started warming up in the 6th inning, and came on in relief of Yankee starter DJ Mitchell in the 7th. 

Robertson retired the side in order in the 7th inning.  He retired the first man he faced on a groundout to 2nd base.  He went to a 3-0 count in his 2nd hitter, before throwing 3 swinging strikes in a row for a strikeout. He retired the 3rd man he faced on a pop fly to shallow rightfield.

11 Pitches--8 Strikes     1.0 IP,  0 runs,  0 hits,  1 K--0 walks.

Soler Update



2:15 pm: Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports the Soler decision could come within the next 24-36 hours, according to executives interested in the Cuban outfielder.  Heyman has been told final bids are due today.

He threw both his fastball and curve too.  That's a good sign.

I gotta say, aside from the Soriano blown save today, the BP really showed some guts in this series. First time in awhile the latter part of the pen has been challenged. Adding Robertson only makes it better.
