Yankees lucky to have Jeter

Troy Tulowitzki had another setback. With him on the DL, there really isn't an other superstar shortstop in the majors. He was really the only must have SS that the game has right now. Meaning that once again there's no MLB SS that anyone would rather have than Jeter.

Jeter just keeps going about his business. He plays hard and helps win games. He is in the midst of another typical Jeter season. I was originally worried about how much money the Yankees were paying him for this contract, but he is worth every penny.

When I look around the majors at the current batch of shortstops, I'm very happy that Jeter is playing on my favorite team. The Tulowitzki injury and lack of quality MLB shortstops these days just makes me appreciate Jeter even more.

Jeter is a treasure. No other sports franchise in history has been as blessed as the NY Yankees with so many icons of the game. No other comes close.

I just wish the last 17 years didn't go so darn fast.  I want a do-over.  What a run. We won't see this again folks.

Mr. Jeter is indeed very special, but lets talk about the core four in general.. Not many teams can boost about having four players that have accomplished as much as these four players have for one organization as much as they have for the Yankees...

We Yankee fans are indeed blessed !!

That's so true. While we were busy with life, the baseball seasons just went whizzing by! I guess the "win now" philosophy wasn't such a bad approach.
