Doesn't pay to watch MSNBC or FOX at all ... they have both turned into a hobgoblin of gotcha moments with personal viewpoints, and very little newsworthy material.

Fox does have Conservative opinion....THANKFULLY! It's the only TV network with it! And I will strongly disagree with anyone that they are not fair and balanced. Nearly everything they do they include two viewpoints. And they cover what the rest of the media ignores. For instance Fast and Furious. For the 1st time just the other day NBC even mentioned the word. Liberals dont like Fox because things that would norrmally be buried, in other words anything negative about Obama, are put into the light. Thats why Fox blows away the competition in ratings. Yes, thank you Foxnews! Without them we have a media just like Communist nations. Sadly.

I stand by my original opinion Craner ... MSNBC and FOX are both not worth the time of day.

However, I do not begrudge people who enjoy one of the stations ... enjoy ... as for me, bring me back Walter Cronkite and the news! Wink

Well to each their own Mo. I like Fox and honestly feel they do a great job of not only showing different viewpoints but ...and its been proven beyond any doubt....they report news that the rest of the media ignores. If it wasnt for Fox the scandal known as Fast and Furious would've been swept under the rug long ago. Thats just plain wrong.

Cronkite? BWAHAHAHA!!! He was a diehard libby. Laughing

I don't think he brought very much to the presidency, except charisma and success."
- Walter Cronkite on the Discovery Channel's Cronkite Remembers, May 23, 1996.  On Reagan

"Gawd Almighty," Shout "the Truths" of Liberalism
"I know liberalism isn't dead in this country. It simply has, temporarily we hope, lost its voice....We know that unilateral action in Grenada and Tripoli was wrong. We know that 'Star Wars' means uncontrollable escalation of the arms race. We know that the real threat to democracy is the half of the nation in poverty. We know that no one should tell a woman she has to bear an unwanted child....Gawd Almighty, we've got to shout these truths in which we believe from the housetops. Like that scene in the movie 'Network,' we've got to throw open our windows and shout these truths to the streets and the heavens. And I bet we'll find more windows are thrown open to join the chorus than we'd ever dreamed possible."
- former CBS News anchor Walter Cronkite, at a November People for the American Way banquet. Quoted in the December 5, 1988 Newsweek.

Those comments were made 15 and 7 years after he was no longer the CBS News anchor. Which I believe was Mo's point that he didn't take sides while he was the CBS News anchor. Off the air people are allowed to have their own personal opinions, you know.

The last real unbiased network news anchors were Huntley and Brinkley.

That doesn't mean he couldn't be unbiased. Some people can actually seperate their emotions from their professional performance.
